I am a full-time comedy writer and performer, always looking for further opportunities. I have experience of writing sketches, verses, gags, slogans, songs, stand up comedy and sitcoms. I also enjoy writing articles, humorous or not, and teaching other writers. The About Me page gives you more idea of what I do.
Mon 12 May 08 A great night at Canal Bar Comedy in Newbury last night. A brilliant line-up combined with a really up-for-it audience. First on was Anonymous the Poet, with plenty of laughs. Hannah George was on exceptional form, dealing brilliantly with a Police Officer appearing during her set. Nick Helm absolutely rocked. I will be booking him again as often as possible. Finally, in the last section, Rory Jackson had additional audience to battle with, dealing well with heckles. The crowd calmed down as Ashley Frieze kept up a stream of clever song lines and had them laughing too hard to speak, as a fabulous finale to the night. Next Canal Bar Comedy: 25th May. Thu 1 May 08 A couple of really fun gigs across the last two days - experimenting with the odd bit of new material and honing some one liners at both Merstham in Surrey and at Funhouse Comedy in Melton Mowbray. Lovely, warm audiences at both. Tue 22 Apr 08 On Sunday, the Coopers Arms gig saw excellent sets from a number of talented acts - and some particularly inquisitive heckling. Sal Stevens dealt admirably with detailed questions about his threesome, Nessie Flange entertained in verse, and Bobby Carroll ended his set on a high, despite major audience diversions. Special thanks to Sam Avery who travelled from Liverpool, Tom Roche from the Midlands, Jeff Lane from the South Coast, and Dave Orange, who stepped up to the mark as an excellent MC, allowing me to try out some new material for my Edinburgh show.
